Who is Jozef Hromják ?

He is currently a chef at the unique urban resort Villa Sandy in Košice.

He has also tried his hand at working abroad, he was a chef at the Landhus Hotel in Zurich for two years, and he worked with Emanuel Mugnaini at the Hilton in Prague.

After returning home, he co-authored the project of a small cultural tavern Žmľak in his native village Záhradné. Later, he accepted an offer from the Double Tree by Hilton in Košice, where he ran the Olive Tree restaurant as sous chef and later became the chef of the entire hotel. He is also the co-author of the concept of the restaurant Zore in Košice.

He is the captain of the Slovak national team of chefs, has several medals and awards from the Culinary Olympics and World Cups.

"My inspiration is Slovak cuisine and honest craftsmanship," he says. "When creating menus, I base them on the geographical location and relief of the country, and I put Slovak product in the foreground, valued with appropriate technique and technology."
