The word "ferrata" has been used more and more frequently in Slovakia lately. So let's introduce the best offers in the Donovaly area, which are really worth it and have something to offer for beginners, experienced climbers and families with children!

If you are a lover of ferries and you are not dizzy from heights, you will surely come into your own. As its name says, it consists of two rock towers (actually there are three, but two are dominant). It is not really one ferrata, but rather a miniature ferrata area with different routes and variations. In total there are 9 belayed routes and two rope bridges. This is the first secured climbing route in Liptov and the fourth one officially opened in Slovakia. The routes measure from 20 to 70 metres and 380 metres of steel ropes are stretched on this rock formation. Each path is made of iron climbers, which are approximately 40 cm apart. There is also a belay wire rope on each path.
Ferrata Two Towers is an absolute treat for climbers who like airy spaces and beautiful views. Here you will find different difficulty levels of routes, which should not be underestimated, as well as safety features of climbing! Beginners are advised to choose the ferratas marked in blue and look for difficulty B at most B/C. Ferratas marked in red are for intermediate climbers who are not afraid of heights and dare to climb in the air. We remind you that the ferratas are one-way and you always descend only from the top of the rocks down the forest path.
In addition to climbing, you can also hike to the top via a hiking trail off the ferrata routes. However, at this drizzly time of year, be careful of the route you take as it can easily turn into slippery muddy terrain. Along the way, you will be accompanied by information panels, which will not only give you interesting facts about the local fauna and flora, but also about the importance of the ferratas themselves in nature. When you reach the highest point of the ferrata, you can enjoy a well-deserved rest with a beautiful unforgettable view of the Low Tatras and Veľká Fatra. Before your eyes you will see Malý Zvolen, Čierna Hora, Končita but also Križná or Frčkov.
